The Wishing Well Stakes is at 6 furlongs for fillies and mares, four-year-olds and upward, with a purse of $50,000. The distance does not appear to be a problem for any of the entrants based on their breeding as each of their sires have produced a reasonable percentage of winners, on dirt (or synthetic), at 6 furlongs. When looking at previous winners on 'dirt', for each sire and broodmare sire, and what percentage of those winners came when the purse was greater than $40,000, five of the entrants have low percentages (Firey Glow, Candy Cane, Ruffaroundtheedges, Bold Venue and Mindy Queen). I am willing to take a stand against those five as contenders for the win...
