DEATH TO THE CHALK! #2 Kera's Kitten has no racing experience on other than turf surfaces. A big question mark on a favorite is a toss for me. I'd do a cheap superfecta using my top 3 plus #3 Don't Put it Back and #8 Z.I. Zipp, who might wind up in an early pace duel with #7 Fish and be able to hang on. The prices probably will not be large in this one--all unproven just-turned-three entrants here.

Eyeball the running positions and it’s easy to see the race has a lot of early speed. A computer analysis of the pace picture, however, says “unknown.” However, with the need-to-lead histories of 3 TIMBUCTO and 4 ACCREDIT, the race sets up for a presser or a closer who can stay close behind. 9 HARLAN STREET has good numbers and good odds. Why am I not considering 5 FLAVOR? Price! As the ML favorite, he will certainly not get the odds a horse that has won his last 4 races should get. Death to the chalk!

Exotics: Tread very lightly. Too large a field with just too many unknowns that can hit the board. Such is 2-yo racing, even in stakes.
