Jarrod was born less than a mile from Pimlico Race Course in Baltimore, Maryland, and he started attending thoroughbred races in the spring of 1980. He invested horse racing wagering profits from the 1996 Kentucky Derby to purchase his first computer, and he joined the Racing On The Net handicapping roster a few years later. He became the horse racing blogger for b5media in the spring of 2008. He is currently Track Handicapper at Louisiana Downs, and is also an Editor/Staff Handicapper at horseracingnation.com.
