This race is for 3 year olds going one mile on the polytrack. IN THE PAINT broke his maiden last out in his first start over this track. His sire is Tiznow whose foals prefer route races and his broodmare sire is Copelan who brings class potential. In fact, as a broodmare sire Copelan has produced 8 young non-maiden 'dirt' winners over the past 3 years and all 8 came when the purse was greater than $40,000. MICKEJOE looks to have figured things out after taking a 6 week layoff. He broke his maiden by almost 15 lengths last time out and can continue to move forward here. LUCKY CHUCK is by Evansville Slew out of a Count the Time mare and both sides of the breeding are far above average for getting young winners. He will be one of the favorites and has to be used in any exotic wager. KERA'S KITTEN ran poorly last time when making his first start over this track but has very good breeding and would be no surprise if he took it all. Worth a small win bet if 12-1 or better.
