The Grade II Del Mar Mile, 8th race on Del Mar's Saturday card, will be run at a mile on the turf, open for all comers 3-years-old and up.  It's an important race for the Breeders' Cup hopefuls as the winner is automatically entered in the Breeders’ Cup Mile at Santa Anita November 7th.

Monterey Jazz -  this winner of the American Handicap lost last outing at the Grade I Eddie Read when the lead horse bolted in front of him and he got away from jockey Tyler Blaze.  Look for the David Flores to take him to the front early and keep him there for the win.

Victor's Cry - is making a big class move after winning his first race back from a 245 day layoff at a mile on Del Mar's turf back in July.  He's running 6 pounds lighter than the 120 he carried in that race.

Becrux - likes to come from behind and has finished in the money in his last 3 outings since finishing second to Monterey Jazz at Hollywood Park in late May.
