Del Mar's 8th race, the Del Mar Oaks, will be contested at a mile and an eighth on the turf by ten three year old fillies all carrying 122 pounds.

Well Monied will be heavily favored and rightfully so.  With three wins and a place in her last four races, she's well rested after her second place finish in a five wide stretch run at the American Oaks.

Strawberry Tart gets a return shot at Starlarks after losing by a nose to her in the San Clemente last outing.  She'd previously beaten her by more than two lengths at Hollywood's Flawless Stakes.

Hemione's Magic is a lightly raced British bred filly who showed good speed in winning her American debut August 5th at Del Mar by a half a length despite running 6 wide into the lane.
