The Bing Crosby Handicap, the 8th race on Del Mar's Saturday card, is a Grade One 6 furlong sprint on the dirt for 3 years old and up. Although it's an open race, all entries are male.
Zensational, this 3-year-old son of Unbridled's Song has dominated the dirt sprints in Southern California this year and has 3 bullet workouts since his last win at Hollywood in a 7 furlong G1 race in early July. Watch for a wire-to-wire performance from a favorable post.
Global Hunter is the most seasoned Graded Stakes performer in this race but primarily on the turf and at route distances. How well he handles the shorter distance remains to be seen.
Delta Storm has performed well at this distance and if you look way back to last fall, does have a win on Del Mar's dirt at 43 to 1 odds. Worth a look if post time odds look good.
