I like the Martin Wolfson trainee Mr. Green, this speedy grand son of Yes It’s True is making his third lifetime start. After tiring late in his last race Mr. Green earned a hefty 82 Beyer speed figure. Look for a jump into the high 80’s or low 90’s .

My second choice is the Milton Wolfson trainee Tutor. Wolfson is dangerous with second time starters scoring a huge 29% of the time. Plus he picks up the services of JC Leyva who by the way also has a 29% win average when riding for Wolfson. These two might make a very nice exacta.

My third choice is Gesu. How can you not put the red-hot Manuel Cruz in the mix? The win off the layoff and potential bounce is really not of concern as his Beyer speed rating was lower than his maiden journey. Look for him to be right there. My only concern is that trainer Joseph Calascibetta is an awful 0-15 with horses making their second start after a layoff and he’s been a cold 1-15 over the past 30 days. I like this one only in the exotics mix.

And finally I like Little Mike you just cannot toss out any William White horse, especially in a stakes race. Look for a big improvement his second race out, White is only 1 of 9 using Javier Santiago this meet.
