San Gorgonio Handicap
Post-Race Review
The third longest shot in the field at 9 – 1, Tizfit, took the San Gorgonio Handicap (gr. II) by rolling on the lead throughout, paying $21.00 to win. Coming off of a high 96 CASE rating for Stride Quality and a 101 for Endurance last out when finishing second at Hollywood Park, Tizfit figured into the finish of the race under jockey Agapito Delgadillo. Little-known trainer Rafael DeLeon campaigns the daughter of Tiznow.
Marzelline (IRE) finished second by a nose, a 1/2 length in front of Solar Miss, while favored Valbenny (IRE) finished fourth in a field of eight.
