Case The Race - Handicapping data and information

BELMONT, MAY 8 SUNDAY

The weather report calls for the right kind of weather for all the turf races to stay on.  Going to look at Race #8, a seven furlong sprint over the green.

LADY'S LUNAR LUCK was very impressive when breaking her maiden over the Aqueduct turf course.  Her next start did not go in an ideal manner.  Filly was never in the right position during a race where the winner went gate to wire at 40-1.  Solis had her always behind runners and way too far back considering how the race unfolded.  With the trainer change she has been given a nice freshening.  Believe she has the talent to handle this field off the bench.  Her main rivals appear to be ZELLWEGER (broke maiden at this trip), and MYRTLE'S GRAY.

TRIP NOTES from yesterday:  MOLLY'S SHIP was uncomfortable from the opening of the gate.  The term spinning his wheels was the first thing to come to mind.  Something was not right with her.  Hated the surface, physical issues . . . . ??  We shall find out if she returns to the races in the next few weeks.
