In a race with limited early speed and several closers, it appears that a fairly conservative pace will be set, perhaps by ECLISSE who will try to "steal" the race on the front end. But as the cavalry charge makes its presence felt at the 3/8 pole, we think the horse with the best closing kick will get the job done. We like longshot GLOTONA, stepping up in class and fresh off a steady but unimpressive mile tune up on the dirt only 6 days ago which we'll dismiss as a "workout". The 12/1 morning line odds will make an across the board wager attractive. In the exacta, we'll make a partial front and back wheel using GLOTONA as our key horse with AWESOME ALEXANDRA, TAILBYTHERAIL and ECLISSE completing our wager. To recap, 2 units across the board on #3 and a 1 unit exacta part wheel of 3/6-1-2 and 6-1-2/3. These selections are for turf only. If the race is moved to a sloppy or muddy dirt track, we will bet 5 units Win and Place on #4, CAT CAN DO.
Good luck to all!
