This one mile and one-eighth race for fillies and mares over the turf course is a tough one to handicap. Let’s see if we can make some sense out of this race. We’ll start with looking at the speed horses. Tuscan Evening and Ainamaa are both in over their heads and figure to do battle on the front end with Diamond Diva not too far away. Diamond Diva should reel in these two but will have to hold off the late charge of some of the others.

Black Mamba is the most accomplished of the late runners and may find her way into the winners circle against this group as this distance seems ideal for her. The lightly raced mare Lemon Chiffon is one to keep an eye on as she is coming into her own and is drawn outside of Black Mamba. Another interesting possibility is the Frankel trained Visit who is back from the East coast and will appreciate a firm turf course.
