SIR IRISH KNIGHT - Did not see anything in his debut that would drag me to his corner today. The tough rail draw does not help matter. He would surprise.
LIVE SUNDAYS - Has the look of a gelding that will improve with racing experience. In his debut he ran a very green race. After breaking a step slow he spent the first quarter mile hopping around at the back of the pack trying to find his running rhythm. He found a decent stride approaching the turn. The leggy gelding managed to close good ground in the stretch despite never changing leads. With that race under his belt and an extra half furlong to work with, I have to consider him a major player.
GO GIORGIANNI GO - Professional effort in his debut. Lost a ton of ground on the turn when fanned seven wide. Kept to his task in the stretch. See him as an exotics player.
SONNY'S TORNADO - Ran a winning race off the four month layoff in his last start. Set wicked splits on the lead and was only run down very late by the favorite. His speed must be respected. Major player.
CASCADE CRUISER - Gets back to the sprint game after a dubious effort going two turns on the grass. The best effort of his three race career came in his debut when sprinting six furlongs. Fitness on the cut-back is not a question. See him as an exotics player.
BOLD SUGGESTION - Makes his debut off a string of works over the Pleasanton race track. The trainer is ice cold. He would surprise.
STORM WRECKER - Makes his debut off a consistent string of drills over the home track. See him as an exotics player.
FLEET O LEI - Liked what I saw from this colt in his debut. Garcia gave him an educational ride. He had some horse under him around the turn. Instead of swinging super wide he tucked him in behind runners. Down the stretch Garcia did not give the most enthusiastic of rides. I loved the energy this guy had running out. This is a barn that excels with second time starters. Blinkers are added. Expecting this guy to be aggressively spotted early on. Major player.
Wagering Strategy ($100 bankroll)
$50 win: #8 Fleet O Lei ($50)
$10 exacta: 8 - 2,3,4 ($30)
$5 trifecta: 8 - 2 - 3,4,5,7 ($20)
