The first race at the on Saturday only has 6 starters but nonetheless, it is a very contentious race with 5 of the 6 having a legitimate chance of having their picture taken. There is enough speed in the lineup to set it up for something off the pace, but I think this race will be won ON the pace as these speed horses just don’t back up very much in the lane. Here’s the rundown of the 6 starters from the rail out.
East Indian unfortunately draws the rail slot and that is not the place to be sprinting on this track, but he ran a bang up second in his comeback start from this very same post just 17 days ago which makes him a contender in this field. He could be tighter off that race or he could “bounce.” I’m going to choose the latter based on him coming back in just 17 days...
