Race 9 - Mrs. Revere S. (Grade II)
Hot Cha Cha (#7)
This filly has been awesome all year long. She has dominated the Turfway Park poly competition back in March winning allowance & Stake races. She switched to turf & actually tailed off in the spring. Then in July she strung together 3 big races winning the last 2 on the turf. In her last she showed lots of closing kick & I look for her to come right back & take another.
Miss Keller (#10)
Usually I would normally discount a filly that has run a huge race in her last effort & finished 2nd. A bounce would normally be predicted. In this case maybe we should make an exception. She did just miss closing a ton after running very wide into the stretch. Her turf breeding suggests continued improvement and with the help of a 6 pound advantage over Hot Cha Cha we could see an exciting finish.
Striking Dancer (#4) & Bluegrass Princess (#8)
Both of these fillies have races that could win in here; but I have reservations about both. In one case Striking Dancer ran big in her last but it was only allowance company, so her margin of victory might be overrated. Then again Robby Albarado has had good success with her. In the other case Bluegrass Princess ran a new top while winning her last race; but this was a big forward move considering she ran 7 other turf races this year & never came close to her last. Nonetheless she’s hard not to use and that’s why I have to consider her in the top 4 selections.
My play is a WPS bet on #7; with 4 horse Ex Box (4,7,8,10)
Good Luck
