TOP SELECTIONS
2 STREAMIN HEAT
3 DEE’S ROSE
5 EXCESSIVE HEAT
6 TAYLOR MADISON
Tough wide open race. Lots of early speed could set up for an off the pace runner in this 100K Optional claiming/allowance event on the Arlington Park turf course. There are 4 in the field with very high early speed (2, 3, 4, 7) and another who will likely travel among the 2nd tier of runners (5), but only a couple who come from off the pace (1, 6).
2 STREAMIN HEAT (5/1) EARLY RUNNER-trainer Larry Rivelli is having an excellent meet (78 21-12-13 27%) and tabs top rider ET Baird (236 61-30-32 28%) for the ride aboard this 3YO daughter of Bring The Heat who makes the 2nd start off the layoff (82 20%-48%) after chasing 60K stakes foes in the Mongo Queen S. at Monmouth on the dirt. Makes the 2nd start on grass (4 25%-25%) and if she can run back to the speed figure she ran in her turf debut (BRIS 96) she will be a force to be reckoned with. The sire wins on turf with progeny at a 38% clip. 3 DEE’S ROSE (7/2) EARLY RUNNER-enters off a win in the 50K Pink Ribbon S. over the AP turf at today’s distance in her last outing. The 4 YO daughter of Straight Man is conditioned by the high percentage barn of Dale Bennett (60 21-7-13 35%) who has had 2 winners and a place for 5 starts that last 14 days. Can rate a bit off the pace if needed which may help chances in a pace surely to be hot in this one. 5 EXCESSIVE HEAT (3/1) EARLY RUNNER-stumbled pretty badly at the start of the 65K Pink Ribbon S. and ended up settling for 4th, beaten less than 2L; not only does she own a mark of (11 6-1-1) on grass and (10 6-1-1) at 5 panels, but she will likely travel in the 2nd tier of horses and could avoid a dueling situation. 6 TAYLOR MADISON (6/1) STALKER-could be considered as a LONGSHOT play in this one; the 6YO mare by Kipling has an off the pace style and could benefit from a fast pace likely to develop today; While a win would be surprising, picking up a piece of the exotics is a strong possibility as she will likely pass tiring horses that may get caught in a battle up front.
