Race 10
  Allie's Event
Bim Bam
Roman Tiger
ALLIE’S EVENT ran a close up 2nd last start in the $85K Turf Classic at Tampa adding another win to his turf record (7 2-4-0); Excellent closing speed. BIM BAM has a stalking style and decent early foot and enters off a close up 5th vs tougher in the G3 Palm Beach last start over the GP turf; undefeated in 2 starts at today’s distance and has been rested for 49 days (58 9%-26%). ROMAN TIGER has more of a pressing style but won’t be too far off the early pace and also exits from the same race as my top pick, finishing 5th beaten 5 3/4L; gets a rider switch to Paco Lopez who has had a decent meet (17% wins).

Race 8
  Checklist
Rockerfeller
New Member
CHECK LIST is an early runner with high early speed and missed by just 2L last start vs similar to be 2nd best, can improve with this 2nd start off the layoff (22%-54%); hails from the barn of Todd Pletcher. ROCKEFELLER has a stalking style and has been chasing tougher takes competition for quite some time so this is a softer spot; if you check his running lines and back speed you will see some decent triple digit figures that would make him very dangerous today if he can run back to them. NEW MEMBER is another that will be on the pace early and has the speed to upset these today. Ran 4th last start vs similar and the added distance today could make the difference. Fits with these.

Race 9
  Akilina
Cherokee Queen
Cure for Sale (ARG)
AKILINA enters this off a 49 day rest (20%-56% for trainer Christophe Clement) and a close up 3rd last start vs tougher in the G3 Honey Fox. Solid grass record (8 4-1-2) and the speed to win this; specialist at the distance (4 2-1-1). CHEROKEE QUEEN is an off the pace runner who comes in off a good 2nd last start vs 80K optional claiming/allowance foes and the small cutback in distance may help chances here. Also ran in the G3 Honey Fox, finishing a close up 5th. Figures to hit the board with best. CURE FOR SALE has a stalking style and should stay close to the pace; finished 2nd in both of last two starts against tougher G3 stock at Tampa. Makes the often rewarding third start off the layoff today. Note that Paco Lopez has been on a hot steak the last week (26 8-5-3).

Race 9
  Secret Getaway
Arson Squad
Gabriel's Hill
SECRET GETAWAY has good tactical speed and enters off a 5 3/4L win vs 62.5K optional claiming/allowance competition last outingthe 5YO son of Skip Away fits in this race (not just because the race is named after his pop) and may have enough left for a repeat. ARSON SQUAD is one of two Rick Dutrow entries (uncoupled-also trains 6 Helsinki) in this race; ran a close up 2nd last start when facing 65K stakes foes (Challenger S.) at Tampa last start and has been showing good, consistent speed in last several starts. This 7YO gelded son of Brahms will be closing late (as will Helskini). GABRIEL’S HILL has good early foot and will be stalking the pace from the get-go; faced tougher G2 stock last start on the sod and figures to improve with the return to the main track; Only one in the field with a win (for 1 start) at today’s distance.

Race 9
  Gio Ponti
Cima de Triomphe (IRE)
Einstein (BRZ)
GIO PONTI - has been phenomenal on the turf with a record of (11 7-2-0) which includes 3 Grade 1 wins posted in his last 3 starts. CIMA DE TRIOMPHE - has two wins for 4 starts at today’s distance and could be a threat here. EINSTEIN - won 3 of his last 5 starts, pace pressing style and regular rider Julian Leparoux in the irons.
