Having clocked horses over the Polytrack for 2 days now it is safe to say that being live and remote from the press box at Del Mar will prove insightful at the very least to all looking to enjoy this years race meeting and wager profitably by being on top of all the right trends and cycles that unfold as they happen. So Cal Works will be invaluable as a daily tool to tackle the days races as this year newly hired track superintendent Rich Tedesco will have the track safe and consistent which means--if they work well in the a.m.--they will run well in the p.m.!!!!!!! Add to that the fact that I will be high atop the press box watching each post-parade/warm-up along with all the races stockpiling winning data for all our use as the days unfold at the meet. I will be checking in with fans/owners/trainers/jockeys agents for feedback and exclusive reporting on a daily LIVE basis right from the most beautiful track in the world--DelMar!!!!!! This reporting will be posted in real time over the CASE website so don't miss a day beginning on WED--July 21.........

Thus far, the surface appears kind, softer and perhaps a bit deeper then last year which means that speed might not be as dangerous as the meet begins. However, we will keep ya'all posted on a daily basis as to any changes or trends or hot hands we spot that one might want to sprinkle into their daily handicapping.

Look for Bob Baffert to have a big meet as I have been charting his a.m. activity over the PRO RIDE at Santa Anita all summer as his key preparations occur there for this meet. Doug Oneill, Mike Mitchell, Peter Miller and a list to be named daily will be sending out well meant runners geared up for this meet. Jockey wise--R. Bejarano and J. Rosario will be at the top of the standings. However, the beauty of this years meet is that there are at least 10 riders of grade A ability to insure the strongest colony in the world. Zenyatta is expected to show up here as she did last year. The opening day hat contests are second to none and traditionally kick the meet off in the utmost of stylish fashions. The beauty of the crowds, the surf meeting the turf and a few winning tickets on your favorite horses make Del Mar the ultimate summer destination!!!!!---This is my hometown and I will be basically living at the track for the next 7 weeks hoping to share all the sites,sounds and winning information for all to take them in.
