Tuesday May 25: BROWN IS BEIGE
Two year old filly from the Jeff Bonde barn made a speedy impression in her five panel move. My clocking matched straight up with the official clocking of 1:00.20. Hardest working jock in the mornings Tyler Baze was on board. This was her second drill over the Hollywood Park cushion. Bonde had put her through several shorter drills at Golden Gate. On my radar.
Wednesday May 26: HUGS TO ALL
Beautiful gray gelding from the Jones barn. Not exactly a serious gate move. Tyler was on board and he would not let this goofy gray show his stuff. One thing for certain is that this guy has a big stride on him. I took him a half mile while in a basic gallop - 23.60, 48.60 - Initial impression is that 'Hugs will want two turns on the grass. Hoping Jones can keep him going in the right direction. Gorgeous animal.
Honorable mention: BLIND LUCK - Freaky filly rolls along in her morning routine. Bejarano on board per usual. Striding out with ease to the wire in 1:02.00. Bejarano asked her to quicken the final sixteenth. I had her out six in 1:13.80 and seven in 1:26.80. No signs of slow down.
Thursday May 27: MARSH SIDE
Maybe the best drill I have ever seen this veteran turn in. Broke about two lengths behind filly Privalova. He was eager to run from the start. In the stretch the rider let him unfold that massive stride of his. He powered away from overmatched work-mate in a hurry. Quite impressive. True marathon type should run his best where ever he shows up next.

The 18th century saw a decline in heels. In France, Napoleon tried to destroy anything perceived as a sign of excess, including high heeled cheap boots women.
